Not the best for gluten free food in London, December 30, 2013 Reviewer: Gftraveler from South Riding, VA - See all reviews by Gftraveler 2.5 Palms I'd researched this place on line. It's a Mexican restaurant chain in London, and apparently they have quite a few gluten free options. However, there's no gluten free menu, only a chart showing what items do and don't contain gluten. Our server happily went through the menu with us, too, but we learned that the tortilla chips and other hard corn tortillas (like for the tostadas) are not fried in a dedicated fryer. And of course things like burritos and quesadillas were off limits, due to using flour tortillas. So that pretty much left the soft tacos and some "large plates" main courses as options. But not all those were safe, for one reason or another. We'd settled on a steak entree and steak tacos, but then saw that there was even a disclaimer about the steak on the chart. We spoke to the manager, who was nice and felt that the disclaimer was more to cover themselves, but we decided we didn't want to risk it, especially given the fact we would be getting on an 8 hour flight to fly home the next day. Better safe than sorry. If you're gluten free and interested in Mexican food in London, this may be an option for you -- depending on your comfort level and what you're in the mood to order. There certainly were a few truly safe things...they just weren't things our 10-year old son would have liked. And I'd be vigilant in asking questions and studying the chart they provide, if you have Celiac, to be sure their definition of GF coincides with your medical needs. 0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
