New gluten free bakery in Napa, California,

Brand new all gluten free bakery within Oxbow market, opened by the chef of C Casa. They sell baked goods and have sandwiches and salads. All products I've tried taste amazing: sour dough baguette, pumpernickel loaf, olive oil crostini, amazing croutons, cinnamon buns, snickerdoodle cookies, cinnamon loaf bread. Others I hope to try are various muffins, scones, cakes and cookies. A must for anyone who misses the true texture of a good loaf baguette.
It's great to finally not have to skip over the sandwich menu of a restaurant which I do almost all of the time. I've tried their prosciutto and goat cheese sandwich and their lox one as well. Very tasty and definitely satisfies the bread craving.

A good travel friend and I are always looking for a new great place for a weekend getaway. Because she is gluten free we target those places that offer gluten free fare. Looking in Napa Valley, we found the Inn on Randolph which is a totally gluten free Inn, the only one in the valley. The owner (also gluten free) recommended C Casa at the Oxbow Market for a good meal. What a great weekend it turned out to be! We loved our stay at the Inn which is very close to downtown Napa. We walked to the Oxbow and had a beautiful, tasty, fresh lunch at C Casa. I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos, and she had the C Casa Chicken Tacos. Both were perfectly prepared, and delicious. We are thrilled to have a getaway weekend place close by now and can't wait to come back up. In fact, we heard that C Casa is opening a sister restaurant called Cate & Co very soon and you bet we'll be back to give it a try. Napa Valley has become a mecca for the gluten free traveler.

C-Casa, located in the Oxbow Market in downtown Napa, is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at, and the entire menu is gluten free. No chance of cross contamination at C- Casa! The menu is original, creative, healthy and very yummy. The meats are grass fed, the poultry free range and the fish sustainable. I love the duck or salmon tacos and the crab salad is huge and unbelievably tasty! I could literally eat here 5 days a week. And sometimes I do...

At GlutenFreeTravelSite, a restaurant or other business must typically be “reviewed” to appear on our site. We have thousands of gluten-free reviewers that have submitted feedback to our site — and have therefore helped guide thousands of others in the gluten-free community who rely on our site for honest, personal, and detailed dining and travel guidance. We have made an exception, however, for restaurants that have been trained through the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness’s GREAT Kitchens Program. We list restaurants like this one — even without a personal review — because they have been rigorously trained and vetted using NFCA’s strict protocols. GREAT Kitchens provides a “Train the Trainer” course for chefs and food service managers which gives them the knowledge and tools to educate their entire kitchen staff on safe gluten-free food handling and preparation. Visit NFCA’s website to learn more:
