Nutrition and gluten-free/allergy-free dining at the University of Tennessee
My son has a severe allergy to cashews and tree nuts. Volunteer Dining at the University of Tennessee has a "nut free" dining location on campus where the food is prepared in house. They do not serve peanut butter at this location, but Soy butter. The location is Morrill Dining in Morrill Hall on the UT Campus. Volunteer Dining has a Student Nutrition Coordinator that met with my student and the manager of Morrill to discuss my son's allergy. Volunteer Dining also has gluten free options for students including gluten free products that can be purchased in the campus stores. There are also gluten free menu items or special order options.
